IQRA'

"Cultivate above all things a taste of reading." - Robert Lowe

One of the first verses of the Holy Book Qur'an is Iqra'.

Read. Of all the things that we should do—and perhaps what we thought would be more important at the time, we were being told to read.

Read, in the name of your Lord (Allah SWT), the One who created.

It might be to literally read books, something written. Or it might also be to read everything. Literally everything around you.

For the start, you can read people's gesture and facial expressions. You can read the wind, the stars, or the wave on the sea. Don't you know? The universe is communicating with you, every second. If you just want to read and listen to them. If you let yourself stop and truly see. Not like a blank stare and empty gaze. Fully seeing what's happening around you.

Then maybe, just maybe, you won't have to be confused about why you were born into this beautiful yet not eternal world.
